and loved writing, debating Politics, attending Air shows, studying military History, photography
and - Harvest Pie.
"Riverside Polytechnic High School is home to one of the original, still active Army
Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) units, established in 1916."
"Ray worked in security for Castle Amusement Park
in Riverside, CA owned by Bud Hurlbut. Late in 1994 Ray stopped an attempted holdup by two armed
black men. However, one had shot Ray during this armed robbery scuffle. Ray was shot in the
face and the bullet ended up lodged into his shoulder." Ray did not work after that as he
suffered with pain from that shooting.
We will all miss his dry humor and his intellectual thoughtful take on all the worlds' issues.
Private services were held on Monday, Feb. 11, 2008.

I am interested in information regarding the Ocheltree family of West Virginia.
My great- grandmother was Sarah Ocheltree, she married Wade Persinger and they moved
to Ohio sometime in the late 1800's. I'd appreciate any information that anyone can
share with me.
I am not familiar with that book. I have been trying to research this line and go back
as far as I can. What I know is my grandmother was Sarah Rebbecca Ocheltree, daughter
of John & Lucinda (Blake) born 1867, Braxton, West Virginia, died 1953, Madison County, Ohio.
Married to Wade Persinger abt 1890. I believe that Lucindas father was Hugh Blake, since
I found a deed where he conveyed property to her. I also saw that she had a sister named
Millie who was living with her and John in the cencus records. If you have any information
that will help me go back further, I'd appreciate it.

Richard Clarence Dean
Remembering Richard Clarence Dean by Edward Dean
(June 1939 - December 2010)
He was born in June of 1939 in Twin Falls Idaho to Clarence, Cloelia and big brother Edward.
It was there our family was involved in farming and real estate.
We moved to the San Jose area when Richard was 8.
Richard was a great student and smart guy. He had a motto, "another day another A". Once he
took an Algebra test and had the highest score for the entire school. He graduated from San
Jose State University with a BS in Engineering and taught a class at UC Berkeley where he went
on to get his Master's Degree in Engineering.
Richard married the love of his life, Renata, 43 years ago.
Richard worked in Computer Management for decades even living abroad in England and Japan
working for Exxon/Mobile. We are very proud of his many accomplishments.
My brother Richard Clarence Dean was a great brother and good friend to many.
He lived a very active, fulfilling life, for 71 years.
He will be desperately missed and forever remembered.
