Disney's California Adventure - A Second Try for (DCA) the new park
Disney's California Adventure Park opened in 2001 for a cost of 600 million
dollars but will now get a large infusion of money a $1.1-billion investment
so that it will rival the original Disney Theme park which Walt Disney Built
in 1955.
Disney's California AdventureŽ Park is the second theme park in Anaheim,
California, adjacent to Disneyland Park and is now getting a face lift
starting in 2010. There will be a strong focus on the popular franchises
that made Disney popular and which made the first park in Anaheim guided by
Walt Disney such a big success.

A host of new attractions will include several based on Pixar
animated films such as "Cars" with Radiator Springs Racers and
"Toy Story."
Radiator Springs Racers is a planned attraction that will be part of the
proposed Cars Land at Disney's California Adventure. This new attraction will
be similar to the Test Track at Epcot in Walt Disney World. the $200-million
E-ticket promises to bring to bear virtually all of the classic Disney ride
components:
The theme encompasses the following: Technology, animatronics, special effects,
interactivity, story line and thrills. The ride starts with a race briefing from
the movie's star, Lightning McQueen, the name typically referred to by his surname
only, is an anthropomorphic racecar and the main protagonist in the 2006 animated
Pixar film Cars. The finale of this Disney attraction concludes with aa at
the Wheel Well Motel scene from the movie. link
Toy Story Mania! at Disney's California AdventureŽ Park! is an interactive
attraction inspired by classic midway games. There will also be several old
time classic fair games with the trademark Disney theme.
Inspired by the sensational Disneys Pixar's "Toy Story" films, Toy Story Mania!
is the interactive, 4-D attraction that lets you experience what it's like to
be the size of a toy. Grab some 3-D glasses and immerse yourself in a world
of midway-style games hosted by favorite characters like Woody and Hamm. Use
your spring-action shooter to launch virtual darts, eggs and rings as you
compete for the highest score. More than an attraction, as Mr. Potato Head
explains, "it's a ride that's a game, it's a game that's a ride!"
In October of 2008, the Sun Wheel closed to be made over as "Mickey's Fun
Wheel" scheduled to open in Spring of 2009. The main difference is that
there will be a Giant Mickey Mouse face on the front of the Ferris Wheel
instead of a Gold Sun Ornament.
Also part of the makeover will be a new Water Fountain Extravaganza show
in Paradise Pier where The lake is located. This new "World of Color"
Colorful Fountain Music and lighting exhibit is scheduled to open in the
Summer of 2010.
The Golden Dreams exhibit will be "replaced" by The Little Mermaid: Arial's
Adventure wich is expected to open in 2009.
The wine cellar-like theatre, closed on March 30th, 2008 and was converted
into the Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar, which opened in October
of 2008, which shows diagrams of all the new rides coming into the California
Adventure park. This is a rotating exhibit intruding new information and
diagrams, and cartoon sketches about the rides as the information becomes
available on park updates. This is a work in progress exhibit with
knowledgeable staff and video of the goals and progress of California
Disney's new land and rides.
A re-creation of the famous Carthay Circle Theatre movie palace will
be at the new Main Street at California Disney Adventure Park with three
screens to revisit the Disney Classics. (Pre-notice! Some updates
may or may not happen)
Note: There is already a recreation of the famous Carthay Circle Theatre
at the Studios Florida Park.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was shown at the Carthay Circle Theatre
Dwight Gibbs was the architect, The movies World premiere was shown in
Technicolor at the Carthay on December 21, 1937. The original seating
capacity was 1510, with 990 of those seats on the orchestra floor and
520 upstairs (the balcony had a loge section at the front).

attracted Hollywood's biggest celebrities including Charlie Chaplin, Douglas Fairbanks,
Marlene Dietrich, Judy Garland, Carole Lombard, Shirley Temple, John Barrymore, Clark Gable
and Carole Lombard; named the best Christmas gift a child could have in 1937.
This was a big success as the two million dollar movie brought in
ten million dollars two years after its release. link

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Trivia: "Snow White Movie" For this extraordinary accomplishment, Disney won
an honorary Academy Award presented to him by Shirley Temple at the 1938
Academy Awards ceremony. The Award was not just a single Oscar statue, but
eight - one full-size and seven little ones - all on the same stand.
California Disney's main street will be redesigned to have the Carthay
Circle Theatre old-time Hollywood Circle Theatre - Originally of the Snow
White and Seven Dwarfs fame with the seven little dwarfs, Dopey, Sneezy,
Bashful, Happy, Sleepy, Grumpy and Doc. This Disney theatre will sit at
the end of the California Disney's entrance near the original sun dial,
and will have several tiled buildings along the way giving the look of
the 1920's downtown LA with the famous Red Trolley lines of the 1920's
Los Angeles to ride back and fourth.
The replica of the Golden Gate bridge will be replaced by a well known
bridge in Los Angeles.
